| Against "Polish camps" |
| 2011.09.30 |
 |
On September 24, 2011, the Globe and Mail published an article entitled, Germany's first war museum since fall of Berlin Wall stirs mixed emotions, within the article the phrase, "Polish concentration camp," was used. The Polish ambassador to Canada, H.E. Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz, wrote a letter to the editor reminding him that the use of the term, "Polish concentration camp," is not only misleading and highly offensive to all Poles but, "an inaccurate representation of the news and constitutes an unfair and improper presentation of news," as per the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council decision of December 15, 2004.
